Here's a fun inexpensive project that will reward you with flavorful meals and cut down your last minute trips to the grocery store.
Stop by your local Whole Foods or Trader Joe's and grab little pots of your favorite herbs. Here, we have basil, thyme, parsley, and mint. Basil can't handle direct sunlight so it get's a little wilty if things get too hot. A little water and some time in the shade will perk it right back up. It's a learning process - and houseplants of any kind take nurturing. It just takes practice and trial and error. All four of these cost about $10.00 and along with being tasty and useful, they brighten up any kitchen space!
